This was just sent to me by an old friend, Bryan White, from when we worked in Japan. The show was “Fantastic World” for Universal Studios Japan. We battled freezing temperatures working outside for over seventy days straight.
I just got back from England after finalizing the show programming for KISS’s new stage. This is the second tour that the “Magic Carpet” and I have been on together, the first one was with the Jonas Brothers. This time around we were able to really dial in the system to and make it substantially more reliable. Read my full description of the system HERE. KISS is performing 35 shows across Europe and will be finishing up the end of June.
I’ve just returned from three months in Singapore working on the new Universal Studios theme park. I loved living in Singapore and it was great having my wife over there for a month but now I’m happy to be home with my friends and family. Living in a hotel for that long is never fun, and being gone for the holidays didn’t make it easier. For more details you can check out some of my previous posts but here’s a quick summary of the trip.
-Lights, Camera, Action, Special Effects Show
-Worked for GR Engineering supervising the install of all electrical controls equipment for LA ProPoint.
-Provided PLC programming support.
-Worst working conditions of any project so far. We faced 90 degree temps, 100% humidity, and diesel fumes in a unventilated building.
-Supported Site Acceptance Testing and cycle testing.
-Spent Christmas in Bali with my wife.
-Spent three nights a week at an amazing little Mexican restaurant.
Overall I had a great time over there, sometimes the job wasn’t that great, but the city and the people made up for it.
